A training for care givers of infants and babies.

“Seed and Soil” have been latest convenient catch phrases regarding the “Nature versus Nurture” debate.  This interactive workshop will integrate information based on current research to enhance our understanding of the brain and how it affects behavior and learning.   It will cover the Three Bs – the Brain, BrainWise (Dr. Patricia Gorman-Barry) and Brain Rules (John Medina).  We will discuss the anatomy & function of the brain, Wizard and Lizard (BrainWise), epigenetics, how the brain works according to the Brain Rules for Baby, how children learn, the role of early life experiences and emotions in the thinking and learning process, why relationships matter, what the brain needs and how enrichment affects the brain but also debunk some brain myths. The goal is to provide theory and practice with successful tips and techniques to make a difference in the development of children.
