Description

Looking for ways to involve parents?  Is it baking cookies, inviting them to volunteer in the classroom, or asking that they attend parent/teacher meetings?

Research shows a strong link between family involvement and a child’s success in school.  It is essential that all programs reflect on their current practice in this area.

This workshop will look at the model developed by Joyce Epstein that identifies six best practices for family involvement, the importance of it in the social and emotional learning of children, and the challenges of implementation.

Participate in this exciting discussion and get practical ideas that will engage the families in your care!
